Our Story

How Dion's Became a New Mexico Tradition

Dion's was born from a simple belief: great food, made fresh every day, served by people who genuinely care. Back in 1978, our founder opened the first dion's location in Albuquerque with nothing more than a passion for authentic pizza and a commitment to quality that would define us forever.

What started as a single neighborhood pizzeria quickly grew into something much larger. The dion's pizza became legendary — hand-tossed dough, house-made sauce, the freshest toppings, and ovens that never stop. Neighbors told neighbors, families made dions their weekly tradition, and soon the name dion's became synonymous with comfort, community, and incredible food.

The Beginning
First Dion's Opens in Albuquerque

Our founder opens the very first dion's location on Juan Tabo Blvd. A small but mighty kitchen, a hand-written menu, and a dream to serve the best pizza Albuquerque had ever tasted. The community fell in love immediately.

Growth
Dions Expands to 3 Locations

Demand for dions pizza grew faster than anyone anticipated. By 1985, we had opened two additional Albuquerque locations, each bringing the same fresh-made food and warm dion's hospitality to new neighborhoods.
